Dr. Raymond E. Poliquit is a Board certified Pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1994. He received his B.S. in Biology from the University of the Philippines cum laude in 1984. After receiving his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in 1989, Dr. Poliquit migrated to the United States to further his education. He finished his residency in Pediatrics from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and the King County Hospital Center in 1994.
Dr. Poliquit is a Pediatrician at the Tallulah clinic since 1994. He was named the Medical Director of OutPatient Medical Centers,Inc. in April 2007. He is a member of the Medical Staff and an Emergency Room Physician of the Madison Parish Hospital, where he was the Chief of Staff in 1998 and 2005.
Dr. Poliquit is very involved in various community activities. He is the founder and artistic director of Impresario’s Choice, a non-profit arts organization that presents Broadway in Monroe, Louisiana since 1998. Governor Kathleen Blanco recognized his work in the promotion of the arts with a Governor’s Arts Award in 2004.
Dr. Poliquit is also a prolific theatre producer. Broadway: “The Drowsy Chaperone” (5 Tony Awards), “La Cage aux Folles” (3 Tony Awards), “The Little Dog Laughed” (1 Tony Award), “Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life,” “High Fidelity” and “Talk Radio.” Off-Broadway: “Make Me a Song: The Music of William Finn.” West End: “The Drowsy Chaperone.” Regional: “For the Glory: Gettysburg’s Civil War Musical.” National Tour: “The Drowsy Chaperone.”
Dr. Poliqut is a certified foster/adoptive parent. He is the recipient of the 2007 Adoption Advocate Award for Community Support. He is a member of Northminster Church in Monroe. “I am ready to move forward to this next phase of my medical career,” Dr. Poliquit said. “I will do my best to ensure that OutPatient Medical Center, Inc. continues to achieve its mission and goals, and keep its excellent tradition of providing the best medical care to its patients.” |
